1. Come Up with a Cool Meeting Place

Of course, a movie and dinner is always a safe bet when it comes to first dates. But when you want to impress your date, go for clever over cliched. 2. Be on Time

There is no such thing as being fashionably late to a date. So when your guy or girl tells you to meet you at 7:00 p.m., then be there when the clock strikes seven, but not fifteen minutes later. If traffic’s terrible and you find yourself running behind, shoot your date a quick text message letting him know. Otherwise, you will leave the poor guy or girl hanging and may even come off as rude or inconsiderate, even if you were held up a legit reason.

3. It is Not All About You

So you are super-psyched about that major merger you just landed at work. Or perhaps you are pumped about the sweet apartment you just bought. While you may be bursting to share the good news with everyone you see, try to tone down your excitement on a 1st date. Instead of keeping the conversation centered on you, stick to non-personal topics. Dig for some shared interests, like places you have both traveled to, movies you have seen or sports you both like. Ask a lot of questions and listen carefully to the replies. Dont forget, you are there to get to know more about your date, not to just rattle off your lists of accomplishments.

Christian Dior (January 21, 1905 – October 23, 1957), was an influential French fashion designer, probably best known as the founder of one of the world’s top fashion houses Dior. He was born in Granville, Normandy, a seaside town off the coast of France. Scientists have developed a pill that engorges in the stomach making the person feel like they have eaten a good meal.
The pill made from cellulose has a highly absorbent powder that expands 1000 times when taken with water. “The sensation is like eating a nice plate of spaghetti,” Telegraph quoted Prof Luigi Ambrosio, who led the research, as saying.
Professor Ambrosio said that the 500 mg pill when taken with two glasses of water results in a tennis ball size lump in the stomach.
“We had one extremely important investor come to visit and he wanted to try the pill. He got very excited because he took one at 11 o’clock in the morning and at six o’clock in the afternoon he still couldn’t finish an ice cream,” he said.
Ambrosio said that the idea of the pill struck them when they were designing nappies’ lining. “The idea came to us while we were working on a project to design a lining for nappies,” he said.
“One of my PhD students came across this particular compound, with incredibly high absorption rates. At the time, scientists were trying to battle obesity with balloons inside the stomach, so we thought this might work,” he added.
The pill has already been tested on 20 people as of now, and another trial is being held with 90 people at the Policlinico Gemelli hospital in Rome. Professor Ambrosio hopes to market the product by next summer. “Our marketing people say we should launch it in time for summer,” he said.
